Just in case you didn't get the message on my userinfo page, this journal is friends-only.
A FEW SIMPLE RULES ABOUT ADDING ME:
1) Respect me and I will do the same to you.
2) I will not tolerate negative comments towards me or my family, because you know what? It won't do either you or me any good. You can't change me or my opinions. All you will do is make yourself a bigger fool than you already are. So, bottom line: be respectful of whom I am and of my family's situation. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be, but I know there are creeps out there. If you are one of these, don't add me, because I won't add you back.
3) Comment to be added. No comment, no adding. 'Kay? Get to know who I am if you want. I'm serious about the third rule. If you don't comment here, you won't be added! I don't care who you are or why you added me first. I need to hear from you first, here, now! Then I will add you.
4) Do NOT come to my journal and beg me to join your community! You can suggest a community you think I might like based on my interests, but in the end it really is up to me whether or not I join. Leaving your links and all that in your comments doesn't mean that I'm going to join. In fact, it makes it far less likely!
And a couple other things. Firstly, if you are one of those people who only posts quizzes and lyrics, I don't mind too much, although some content is always nice. However, it is your journal and I'm not going to try and control what you put in it. If you tYpE lIkE tHiS, I don't mind that much -- though it hurts my eyes. But don't add me if you're just looking for friends to fill up your friends list. Because I'm sure as heck not adding you back if that's the reason. And it sort of defeats the purpose of a friends-only journal, don't you think?
Secondly, please give me a reason why you want me on your friends list. Do you know me from somewhere? Do I know you? What do we have in common? How come you're interested in friending me? Any or all of those questions answered will do quite nicely, thanks.
Lastly, don't flame me or get angry at these rules. They are here because some of the content in my journal is sensitive to me and my family and I'd really prefer it not get blasted out to any old person. I'm sure, if you are a kind-hearted soul, you will be able to understand.
